Description
Request a Quote for WooCommerce transforms your WooCommerce store into a quote-driven sales channel. Instead of (or alongside) a standard cart, customers can add products to a quote list, review them in a sleek slide-in sidebar, and submit their enquiry with just a name and email address.
The submitted quote is saved automatically as a custom record inside your WordPress admin and triggers an email notification to both the customer and your store admin — complete with a full product breakdown including list price, unit cost, discount percentage, new unit price, and total.
Whether you run a B2B wholesale store, a custom manufacturing business, or any shop where pricing is negotiated rather than fixed, this plugin gives you a professional, fully styled quoting workflow without writing a single line of code.
How It Works
- A floating quote icon appears on your storefront. Customers click it to open the quote sidebar.
- On any shop archive page or single product page, an « Add To Quote » button appears alongside (or instead of) the standard « Add To Cart » button.
- Customers add products to their quote list. The sidebar shows each product with its image, title, and price.
- When ready, the customer enters their name and email and clicks « Send Quote ».
- The plugin saves the quote to your WordPress admin under Cart To Quote Quotes List and sends a detailed HTML email to both the customer and the site admin.
General Settings
- Enable / Disable Cart To Quote — Turn the entire quoting system on or off with a single toggle without deactivating the plugin.
- Hide « Add To Quote » on Single Product Pages — Keep the button on shop/archive pages only, or use it everywhere.
- Hide « Add To Quote » on Shop / Archive Pages — Limit quote functionality to single product pages only.
- Customize « Add To Quote » Button Text — Replace the default label with any text that fits your brand (e.g. « Request Price », « Get a Quote », « Enquire Now »).
- Remove « Add To Cart » Button — Globally hide the WooCommerce add-to-cart button across the shop page, archive loops, and single product pages — ideal for enquiry-only stores.
- Remove All WooCommerce Prices — Hide product prices sitewide so customers must request a quote to learn the price — a common requirement for B2B and trade stores.
- Enable / Disable on Mobile — Choose whether the quote sidebar and buttons appear on mobile devices or desktop only.
Quote Sidebar
- Slide-In Sidebar Panel — A smooth, animated sidebar slides in from the right when the quote icon is clicked. A semi-transparent backdrop overlays the page, keeping the focus on the quote list.
- Product List with Image, Title and Price — Each quoted product is shown with its thumbnail, name (linked to the product page), and current price in the store’s currency.
- Remove Individual Products — Customers can delete any product from the quote list directly inside the sidebar without losing the others.
- Live Item Counter — The floating quote icon displays a live count badge showing how many products are currently in the quote list.
- Name and Email Form — A clean inline form inside the sidebar collects the customer’s name and email before they send the quote. Built-in email validation prevents malformed addresses.
- Customizable Send Button Text — Change the sidebar’s submit button label to anything you need (default: « SEND QUOTE »).
- Session-Based Storage — Quote list items are stored in the WooCommerce session, so products persist across page navigation without requiring the customer to be logged in.
Admin Quote Management
- Dedicated « Quotes List » Menu — A top-level « Cart To Quote » menu and a « Quotes List » submenu appear in the WordPress admin, giving you a dedicated space to manage all incoming quote requests.
- Custom Quote Post Type — Every submitted quote is saved as a custom post type so you have a permanent, searchable record of all enquiries.
- Customer Details Per Quote — Each quote record displays the submitting customer’s name and email address in a clear meta box.
- Full Product Breakdown Table — The quote detail view shows a table for every product in the request containing: Product Name, List Price, Unit Cost, Discount %, New Unit Price, and Total — giving you everything you need to respond with a formal quotation.
- Unit Cost Field on Simple Products — A « Unit Cost ($) » field is added to the WooCommerce product general data tab so you can record your internal cost price per product.
- Unit Cost Field on Product Variations — The unit cost field is also available on individual product variations, supporting variable products with different cost structures.
Email Notifications
- Automatic Dual Email — When a customer submits a quote, the plugin automatically sends a formatted HTML email to the customer’s address and a copy to the store admin email.
- HTML Email with Product Table — The email includes the customer’s name, email, and a full product breakdown table (Product, List Price, Unit Cost, Discount %, New Unit Price, Total) — ready to use as the basis of a formal quote reply.
