Installation

1. Upload the skyseomanager folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
3. Go to the ‘SkySEOManager’ menu item in the WordPress admin panel to start using the plugin

Onboarding Wizard

1. Activate the plugin for the first time
2. Follow the wizard steps to configure essential settings
3. Complete the onboarding to finish your setup

Module Management

1. Go to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Dashboard’
2. Use the toggle switches to enable or disable features

Redirects Management

AI Metadata Optimization

1. Edit any post or page

Bulk Editing SEO Data

1. Navigate to the ‘SkySEOManager’ page in your WordPress admin menu
2. Select the post type you want to edit from the dropdown
3. Use filters to find posts with specific SEO issues (optional)
4. Edit titles, descriptions, and featured images directly in the table
5. Select one or more rows and click ‘AI Optimize Selected’ to run AI only on the checked posts
6. Enable ‘Only add missing data’ if you want to keep any existing title or description unchanged
7. Changes are saved automatically as you work

Automation Tab

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Automation’
2. Enable the automatic optimizer if you want WordPress to run AI optimization in the background
3. Choose the frequency, post types, optimization mode, and batch size
4. Save the automation settings
5. Review the optimization logs to see which posts were updated, skipped, or failed during each scheduled run

Sitemap Tab

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Sitemap’
2. Enable sitemap generation and select the public post types you want included
3. Save settings and open /sitemap.xml
4. If your site uses TranslatePress, SkySEOManager automatically creates language-specific sitemap variants for the selected post types

Internal Linking Tab

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Internal Linking’
2. Build your Semantic Index by clicking « Build Semantic Index ». This uses vector embeddings to map your site’s topics.
3. Choose the post types to process, max links per post, candidate pool size, and batch size.
4. Start a fresh run or resume a paused run when your AI quota becomes available again.
5. Watch the progress bar, status badge, and zoomable internal-link mindmap while the queue runs.
6. Review Recent Activity to see which keyword anchors were linked to which destination URLs. Now includes an « X » button to revert any applied link.

GEO Tab (Generative Engine Optimization)

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘GEO’
2. Select the post types you want to analyze (only types enabled in Indexing & SEO Box settings are shown)
3. Click « Start Full Analysis » to begin the background queue — all selected pages are processed one batch at a time via WP-Cron
4. Watch the progress bar, status badge, and live stats update as pages are analyzed
5. Review the Factor Breakdown table to see pass rates across every GEO factor (Topic Match, Price, Freshness, Specs, Confidence, Evidence, Comparisons, BLUF, Quotes, Statistics, etc.)
6. Browse results in the paginated table — click « View » on any row to open a detailed modal with per-factor pass/fail and fix suggestions
7. Pause and resume the queue as needed; reset all results to start fresh
8. For individual page analysis, use the GEO tab inside the Gutenberg sidebar — click « Run GEO Analysis » to get an instant AI-powered assessment with fix suggestions

The GEO analysis uses a hybrid approach: 7 factors are checked directly by code (word count, headings, sentence length, schema presence, .edu/.gov outbound links, image alt text, and publication freshness) for guaranteed accuracy, while the remaining semantic factors (topic match, price, confidence, evidence, comparisons, value prop, tone, social proof, BLUF, expert quotes, statistics, non-commodity content) are evaluated by Gemini AI.

SEO Analyzer Tab

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘SEO Analyzer’
2. Choose whether to scan posts, pages, or both
3. Set a conservative batch size, link-check limit, timeout values, and optional schedule
4. Start a manual scan or let WP-Cron run scheduled scans hourly, twice daily, daily, or weekly
5. Review the site score, per-page score, issue summary, and filterable report table
6. Click issue summary chips to filter the report by a specific issue type
7. Open the « Basic Fixes » tab and click « Analyze Basic Fixes » to see safe fixes available inside editable page content
8. Apply all fixes, apply a single page fix, or ignore individual fix suggestions
9. Review or clear the Recent Applied Fixes log to see exactly which fixes were applied to each page
10. Re-scan results are updated automatically after a fix, so anything still listed needs manual review

The SEO Analyzer scans the rendered frontend HTML of published posts and pages. It reports issues such as missing or poor-length titles and meta descriptions, missing or multiple H1 headings, heading-order warnings, low content length, missing image alt text, broken or blocked links, external links missing nofollow, missing canonical URLs, robots noindex/nofollow directives, and non-200 page responses.

One-click fixes are intentionally limited to safe edits inside the WordPress page or post content. SkySEOManager can add missing image alt text, add nofollow to external links inside content, and convert content H1 tags to H2 when there are multiple H1s. Each applied fix is logged per page so you can manually review what changed. If the remaining issue comes from the theme, header, footer, page builder template, shortcode output, or another plugin, the report keeps showing it after the re-scan so you know it must be fixed in that source.

Indexing & SEO Box Tab

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Indexing & SEO Box’
2. Choose the post types that should default to noindex or nofollow
3. Choose exactly which post types should show the SkySEOManager SEO box
4. Choose which public taxonomies should show SEO fields
5. Save settings to apply the rules and editor placement

404 Monitor Tab

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘404 Monitor’
2. View all recorded 404 URLs with hit counts, first/last seen dates, and referrer information
3. Use the filter tabs to switch between All, Unresolved, or Redirected entries
4. Use the search bar to quickly find specific 404 URLs or paths
5. Click ‘Redirect’ on any unresolved 404 URL to add an instant 301 or 302 or custom URL redirect
6. Search for existing posts and pages when choosing a redirect target
7. Remove redirects or delete individual entries at any time
8. Use ‘Clear All Logs’ to purge the entire 404 log (entries older than 90 days without a redirect are automatically cleaned up)

404 Settings Tab (Email Alerts)

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘404 Settings’
2. Enable email alerts using the toggle switch
3. Configure recipient email address for notifications
4. Choose email frequency: Immediate, Hourly, or Daily digest
5. Set minimum hits threshold before triggering email notifications
6. Configure SMTP settings if your server requires custom email settings
7. Use ‘Send Test Email’ to verify your email configuration
8. AI suggestions for 404 pages

Robots.txt Tab

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Robots.txt’
2. Use the visual rule builder to easily allow, disallow, or configure sitemaps
3. Switch to the raw code editor to make direct changes (automatically synced with visual rules!)
4. Click ‘AI Analyze’ to have Gemini review your robots.txt against modern SEO best practices
5. Save your rules to immediately apply them to your website

Webmaster Tools Verification

1. Navigate to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Webmaster Tools’
2. Google & Bing: Paste your site verification IDs to instantly verify your ownership.
3. Regional Search Engines: Full support for Yandex and Baidu verification tags.
4. Social & Security: Verify your domain for Pinterest and Norton Safe Web.
5. Custom Tags: Use the ‘Custom Webmaster Tags’ field to add any specialized meta tags (one per line) for other third-party services.
6. All tags are safely output in the <head> of your website with proper escaping.

Media Optimizer

1. Navigate to the ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Media Optimizer’ page in your WordPress admin menu
2. View your media library and their current title and alt text.
3. Use the « AI Optimize » button to generate new title and alt text for an image.

Importing Data from Other SEO Plugins

1. Go to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Settings’
2. Scroll down to the ‘Import/Export SEO Data’ section
3. Select the SEO plugin you want to import data from
4. Click ‘Start Import’ and wait for the process to complete
5. The progress bar will show the import status

Deleting SEO Data

1. Go to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Settings’
2. To delete SkySEOManager data: Use the ‘Delete SkySEOManager Data’ button
3. To delete other SEO plugin data: Select the plugin from the dropdown in the ‘Delete Data From Other SEO Plugins’ section and click ‘Delete Plugin Data’

Changing SEO Plugin Integration

1. Go to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Settings’
2. Scroll down to ‘Manual SEO Plugin Override’
3. Select your desired SEO plugin from the dropdown
4. Click ‘Set SEO Plugin Manually’
5. To revert to automatic detection, use the ‘Force Re-detection of SEO Plugins’ button

Enabling Debug Mode

1. Go to ‘SkySEOManager’ > ‘Settings’
2. Check the ‘Enable debug mode’ option
3. Save changes
4. CSS and JS files will use cache busting to ensure fresh versions on each load

SEO Meta Box & Gutenberg Sidebar

1. Edit any post or page
2. Look for the redesigned SkySEOManager SEO box in the editor (Classic) or the SkySEOManager Sidebar (Gutenberg).
3. Keyword Management: Add your focus keywords to trigger real-time SEO analysis.
4. Dynamic SEO Score: Watch your score update as you improve your title, description, and content density.
5. Use the Snippet Editor tab to manage SEO title and description with live SERP preview
6. Use the Internal Linking tab to analyze the saved page content, review suggested anchors, and apply links one by one. If no index exists, a shortcut button will guide you to generate it.
7. Use the Advanced tab for per-item noindex and nofollow controls

Gutenberg SEO Blocks

1. Open any post or page in the Gutenberg (Block) Editor
2. Click the + button to add a new block
3. Scroll down to the « Sky SEO Manager » block category (or search for the blocks directly)
4. Add the Sky SEO FAQ, Sky SEO How-To, or Sky SEO Review block to your content
5. Fill out the interactive fields (questions, steps, or review ratings) directly in the editor
6. When you publish the post, SkySEOManager will automatically generate valid JSON-LD Schema.org markup for your rich snippets!

Configuring Social Media Settings

2. Enter your Twitter username and Facebook page URL
3. Add your company name and logo URL for rich snippets
