From your WordPress dashboard
- Visit Plugins > Add New
- Search for « msd pre selected cat »
- Activate msd pre selected cat from your Plugins page
- Click on the new menu item « MSD Settings » and Select your category

- How to select default category for post?

- Choose category from dropdown list and Save It.

Really simple and helpful saving time while creating new post selecting a category of my choice and the post will automatically go to that category instead of Uncategorized
