Description
Websel Booking is a lightweight booking system built for solo professionals and small studios (yoga and pilates teachers, therapists, consultants, tutors) who take reservations for classes, sessions and events.
English is the source language. Translations, Turkish included, are delivered through translate.wordpress.org; on a Turkish site the plugin presents itself as « Websel Rezervasyon », sold and supported locally by Websel Donusum.
Free features
- Services with time slots — one-on-one (capacity 1) or group (with capacity) services; slots are generated from weekly availability, either split by duration or as a single block per range.
- Booking form with e-mail approval — visitors request a slot with name/e-mail/phone; the request is stored as « pending », the admin approves it and the customer automatically receives a confirmation e-mail. No payment gateway required.
- Monthly calendar — all services in one color-coded monthly schedule; clicking a day lists that day’s classes and opens the booking form inline.
- Class list — a compact list view of your classes with the next available slots.
- Event announcements — a separate « Events » section for workshops, camps and announcements, with an optional « remind me by e-mail » form (explicit consent checkbox, unsubscribe link, no newsletter).
- Slot locking — a slot being booked is temporarily locked so two visitors cannot book the same seat.
- Terms consent — optionally require a « I have read and accept the reservation terms » checkbox linked to a page you choose.
- WhatsApp / Instagram buttons — optional contact buttons next to the booking widget.
- Every calendar and list view — classic monthly calendar, Calendly-style columns, compact time picker, showcase list with large images and a service carousel. No view is held back.
- Appearance options: widget background, list style, font sizes, event colors.
Pro version
Websel Booking Pro is a separate add-on plugin that adds:
- WooCommerce sales — paid bookings through the cart/checkout, event ticket sales with early-bird pricing and remaining-seat counters.
- Recurring (series) bookings — « repeat this class weekly » for N weeks in one step.
- Waitlist — full slots collect a waitlist and notify when a seat opens.
- Credit packages — sell class packages; logged-in customers book by spending credits.
- Pre-booking intake form — customizable questions asked before the reservation is completed.
- Automatic reminders — e-mail (and optional SMS) reminders before the class.
External services
These only apply if you add a YouTube or Vimeo link as an event’s video. If you never do, neither service is ever contacted, and all other features (services, bookings, the calendar, e-mail approvals) work entirely within your own WordPress database.
- YouTube — the event page embeds the video with a standard YouTube iframe player, and shows a thumbnail loaded directly from
img.youtube.com. Both are loaded by the visitor’s browser when they open that event’s page; the plugin itself makes no server-side request to YouTube. Terms: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms — Privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy - Vimeo — the plugin’s server calls Vimeo’s oEmbed API (
vimeo.com/api/oembed.json) to fetch the video’s thumbnail image so it can be shown without you uploading one. Only the video URL you entered is sent, only when that event’s detail page is first viewed, and the result is then cached for 7 days. FAQ
Does it require WooCommerce?
No. The free version works completely standalone with the e-mail approval flow. WooCommerce is only used by the Pro add-on for paid bookings.
Is the interface in English?
Yes. English is the source language. A Turkish translation is available on translate.wordpress.org and loads automatically on Turkish sites once translated — on those sites the plugin presents itself as « Websel Rezervasyon ». You can also translate it into any other language through the same system.
How do I show the booking form?
Create a service, then add the shortcode to any page:
[websel_booking id="123"]. There are also shortcodes for the general calendar[websel_booking_schedule], the class list[websel_booking_list]and event announcements[websel_booking_events].Where are booking requests stored?
As a custom post type in your own WordPress database.
